A LITTLE CHRISTMAS DECOR PROJECT...EASY, FAST AND CHARMING... YOU'LL NEED
CANDLES...
SHEER RIBBON...( SO THE WORDS SHOW THROUGH)...
THE WORD "CHRISTMAS" COPIED ON CARD STOCK...OR STAMPED...OR CALLIGRAPHY...

I CHOSE THREE CREAMY WHITE CANDLES BECAUSE I ALREADY HAD THREE STANDS I WANTED TO USE...FOUND THE DREAMY SHEER RIBBON AT MICHAELS FOR $1.00...PLAYED WITH DIFFERENT FONTS AND SIZES FOR THE WORD CHRISTMAS AND PRINTED IT ON SOME CREAMY CARD STOCK. VARIATIONS COULD BE ENDLESS DON'T YOU THINK?... CUT THE WORDS THE SIZE YOU WANT TO WRAP AROUND YOUR CANDLE...

USED SOME GLUE-STICK TO HOLD THE WORD ONTO THE CANDLE WHILE TIEING THE RIBBON ON...OPTIONAL...JUST EASIER FOR ME.

TIE A PRETTY BOW....LOVED HOW THE EDGES OF THE RIBBON SHIMMER...

I JUST AM "OVER THE MOON" ABOUT WORDS...

WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT...YOU COULD HANG SOME HANDMADE TAGS OR LITTLE ORNAMENTS FROM THE BOW...MODIFY THIS FOR THANKSGIVING...EASTER...........................ON AND ON.......HOPE YOUR JUST A LITTLE INSPIRED, XOXO~KATHY

DON'T TELL ME YOU DON'T LIKE CRANBERRY SAUCE!!!.....OH!...YOUR USED TO THE STORE BOUGHT KIND.......THIS YEAR GIVE THIS A TRY!

Cranberry Sauce....made and in the Freezer...one less thing to think about at the Holidays. Make enough for Thanksgiving and Christmas......maybe even a gift or two ... I like making this easy recipe, everything is chopped up in the food processor....what could be easier. Cranberries...Clementines,( or oranges)...

This year I used Clementines instead of oranges....peals and all. Due to the small size of clementines you will need more then two...I used about six.

PLAN AHEAD SO YOU'LL NEVER HAVE TO HEAR I'M SORRY...

Planning to have a little dinner party or a large Holiday get together? Now's the time to get those invitations in the mail...Nothing more disappointing then getting a "Sorry we can't make it, we are already committed."... Our calendars seem to blug at the seams with activitys especially in December. Spur of the moment gatherings often work...I just like to have my ducks or ... as we say...Christmas doves in a row. Next time your out pick up those invitations and enough stamps to send them AND all your Christmas Cards. Might as well cross two things off the list if possible!...So... How many gatherings are you contemplating this year? ...Fancy?...Informal?

TIS THE SEASON!!!....

Yes...the season will swiftly be upon us!!! If your a do-it-yourselfer, you need time to prepare, create and get things in order... Being the "Christmas Kathy" that I am...I should like to feature Christmas related posts from this point forward through the Christmas Holidays. Recipes...Decor...Arts and Crafts...Details... just about anything that keeps my mind spinning I shall try and post. WE'RE READY....WE'LL BE HITTING THE SAUCE HARD NOW!!!!

My man said" Honey...lets put up that bushel of apples we bought at the farmers market...I'll cut the apples for you "... Okay...am I not living with an amazing man!!!! I couldn't start washing those jars fast enough with that offer!!!!....Jars...Lids and rims...READY!

That man can peel...FAST... We're using up the rest of the Cortlands by the way...the pie was a hit earlier ...the sauce shouldn't disappoint!...

Every year we make a couple RED and GREEN jars for Christmas...Red hots along with the sugar and cinnamon makes for a happy, snappy sauce.

Everyone has their SECRET ingredient....here's mine. BUTTER...I know, I know...all you anti fat peeps....well talk to the hand cause the head ain't listening...BUTTER transforms applesauce to a whole new level.....The PLEASE give me your recipe level!!!! That's what I'm talkin bout!

Sugar and cinnamon to taste...I like chunky sauce...so no straining for us. MMMMMmmmm

These are the hard working hands of my man....I am blessed... Could have froze the sauce ...but I love looking at the jars in the Pantry all winter...satisfying...

I don't know what I would do without this little tool...I have used this as long as I can remember for getting those jars out of the HOT bath...some things you just never change...

Must have labels ....for gift giving...

PIE FIXES EVERYTHING....SAYS THE LITTLE SIGN IN MY KITCHEN!

I'm a pie freak...Love building them as much as eating them... It's true..."Pie Fixes Everything"... Hard for me to make a pie without turning it into an Art project though...

Used Cortlands for this pie...with a little crumb topping to set off the leaves and acorn...

This one didn't stick around long...MMMmmmmm... of course it's better warm AND with a little ice cream....
