I'm just addicted to purses...bottom line.
This is my Oh-La, La version of the Amy Butler pattern that I've certainly got my money out of!...
When I saw these B&Whites I knew I had to try a ruffeled purse...

Then I found this reversable ribbon, which I sewed on top of each ruffle...

I wore it out for the first time today...

Always a compliment when someone stops and inquires where You BOUGHT it from!

The trim I used for the flower....came from the LACE FAIRY....

We are on the road until Friday....

I will try and post in the evenings....

Definately will visit when we're home again,

THE LACE FAIRY VISITS...

I came across two bags full of lace all jumbled up in a huge mess for $1.50 a bag...
You know where...there was so much stuffed in the bags it was hard to tell if any of it was worth taking...
I took the chance and bought them both....
Spent quite some time winding them on cards to organize them...
I AM SHOCKED...At how much wonderful lace was in there...
90% of what you see here came from the 2 bags!!!!!

Just makes you want to sit down and create something.....
Actually....I did....Show you tomorrow!

I felt like the lace fairy stopped in with the Mother load....

WHITES...FINISHED !!!

Here is the end result of my "WHITE" finds from my previous post...
The window....frames and hangers...
These are all morning shots....so we have lots of muted light and shadows...
Just sanded up this frame a little and added this clip art..Thank You Graphics Fairy!!!!
and added an OLD key from a hutch I have!...
added the # too....

Sanded up these two frames and added a textured PALE pink paper to the inside....
No pictures just texture...




Photos don't capture the texture well....Morning light.

Eventually...I would like to put the Grands photos in B&W behind the glass...

but for now, I'm happy with this...

Added only a slight white wash to the window...just to clean it up a bit, but not lose the Shabby effect...
I added the #'s to these ..Hat and coat hooks...

When you come to visit....

You may choose , room "2"....

or room "3" !!!!

This is my haul from yesterdays GW stop and a new thrift I found....First day open!!!!
Frames were$1.00 at GW....the two Very cool hangers I found at the new thrift...
and the wooden lamp, (loved the lines) from GW also....
a great day!
usually I need to repaint and spruce up everything to make it my own....
Only a little sanding and voila!
White...
Shabby...
and ready to go!
What do you think of adding some french numbers to the hangers?...could be very chic!

WHITE, WHITE, AND SHADES THEREOF....

Today I'm thinking of all things white...and shades thereof...
I totally re-arranged the house on this rainy day today....
almost finished and happy with the new arrangments....
You must do that too, we all like to mix things up ....
I put our kitchen table on the summer porch and added white sheers on some of the windows.
Love watching the wind blow them in summer...
re-arranged almost every room...
Here are just a couple photos of White objects....
Trying to keep that pallet for the summer...
with pastel accents...
and just a few surprise blacks here and there. She is not mine...but I wish she was...
So whats's your pallett this summer....your dominating color? ....
These were a dollar at the GW....can you imagine making these and selling them for $1.00?
almost breaks my heart... think I'll make pin cushions out of them...someday!

only know they remind me of my heritage...Scandinavian...

LATEST PROJECT....AND AN UP-DATE !...

Have been pumping out the projects like there is no tomorrow....
Keeping my hands busy...theraputic....
Picked up this frame at the MAXX for a couple dollars...and knew what I'd do with it ...(it was all white!)
A little mixed-media frame now...
I enjoy making these...gets the creative juices flowing...
Clock arms....why not?...
A bird and nest Stamp...

I love this clip art...I've used her on many a tag...she is a doll with her little bird!

Roses ribbon ...you've seen before on other projects...I have a plethera of this...

I also like that word...plethera!!!!

I'll show you where this ended up ...tomorrow...

UPDATE ON DAVE...

Today was the 5th round of chemo...

Always a long day for both of us...His lab work was good so they gave the okay to start the Chemo.

As usual...he is resting now with the fanny pack attached to him until Wednesday.

While we were there ....Daughter Beth came with the Grands and McDonalds for lunch....Thanks Beth!

Daughter -in-love , Sherri also stopped in to visit,

Always fun...and helps pass the time.

Apart from a few mechanical glitches all went well.

Two weeks from today will be the last Chemo...I will keep you posted as to the P.E.T

scan scheduling....

We are soo anxious to get that over with and see the results...

Trusting you all had a wonderful Easter with your families and friends...

again I say "CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS WEATHER"!!!!! amazing!
