Woman!...do you not know how to just sit down!....(evidently not)...

Somedays your just non-stop right?....Your going full speed the minute your feet hit the ground in the morning... In between Jewelry making I made a little apricot butter, MMMMMmmmm...the recipe is pretty intense, do you have a pencil? Okay Put a little apricot preserve in softened butter...mix well...DONE! Lately, this is all I can handle..Lol....

Of course once you've made the butter you need something to put it on. Rescently went to a "Tastefully Simple" party...famous for their beer bread... soooooo, opened a bottle of beer and poured it in the BOXED contents. I must admit, a wonderful bread! Normally I wouldn't think of putting Apricot butter on BEER bread.....at this point I'm so hungry, why not!... Could be my NEW favorite snack!!!! Now that I'm re-energized....finished making all my cards and arranged them in a cigar box purse for display at the Jewelry show coming up... adding a little Mixed Media this year...

Just a sampling.....Little packages of 6 each... Tied with a ribbon eventually...

Hope your day was happy and productive too... xoxo~Kathy,,,

  1. What beautiful creations -- from the apricot butter (will steal that simple idea for sure) to the beer bread -- all beautiful -- but especially the cards. Oh, how very pretty!

  4. Apricot jam is our very favorite so mixing it with butter has to be heavenly. Sometimes unexpected combinations are the best. I bet you enjoyed it when it was hot!

Your cards are so very pretty.

  5. How do you get organized enough to do all that and blog too? I just finished a post about how overwhelmed I am at the moment. Maybe it is just because I'm new to this... or maybe it is because I still haven't figured out how to use Blogger and I spend sooooo much time editing and re-editing!

However, I do think I can handle the apricot butter recipe. But my English Muffins will have to do!

Always enjoy reading your blog :)

  6. I love your cards. I used to make all of our Christmas cards by hand--lettering, stamping, painting. One year we sent 300 of them! YIKES! Yours are gorgeous.

I laughed out loud at the apricot butter. I was imagining hours of cooking to achieve a mellow, spicy apricot blend. NO! You meant REAL BUTTER! It looks delicious. And I LOVE the photos!

  13. Loved seeing your blog for the first time!
I've added orange to butter but never thought of apricots. And I love them- going to try it tomorrow morning. Wouldn't that be super on hot biscuits? I'm not quite as certain about beer bread. :)
    PS: Your cards are adorable!

  17. My mother always loved apricot jam. She used to make these delicious little cookies with a cream cheese dough and fill them with apricot jam before popping them in the oven. I wish I had paid more attention to how she made them. Your apricot preserves looks so tempting especially on beer bread! Have a great week.
