BIKING ON "GARBAGE DAY"....who-hoo!

Going for a bike ride on "Garbage" day can be extremely profitable!!!!


She was sitting out in front of this lovely house on the lake...


covered in dirt...


calling my name...


in front of a garbage can...


stopped my bike...got off...picked her up...knocked on the Beautiful House Door...


exchanged conversation...


came back in the car after my bike ride and brought her home..


gave her a bath...a sanding ...



discovered she was from Goshen Indiana...


This gal had some Amish ancestry...



Birds love her....especially after two coats of paint...


What some people put on the side of the road!!!!

The birds and I will take good care of her...

What are those strings hanging from the bottom of that round coffee table...probably the price tag!

Why does this breathtaking whiteness only endure for such a few short days?...

The distinct heady smell...arrives and leaves so early.

Almost like a tease...

Petals fall...and I find myself saying..."No!...not yet"

I gathered the fallen petals in a dish...and smelled them for three more days...

Such a sweeet gift...White Peonies.

Making this room Shabby...one piece at a time. linking with Brag Monday @ Graphics Fairy!

For the last couple years I've been slowly but surely transforming our home into the Shabby cottage style I feel so comfortable with.

Last week I found these linen pillow cases at the Goodwill for 75cents....

Crazy I know...

especially since they have the Shabby Chic label on them...Target brand.

So I teamed up with the Graphics Fairy and added some very "French" labels to my pillow shams...



left them all shabby looking...no ironing here girls... What do you think....



Love working on just one piece at a time...
