A frame inside a frame...A soft effect ...
Found a pair of the Romanesque looking candle sticks rescently...
Reminds me of ancient Rome...I like how all the textures play off of each other...
I happened onto this old door on my way to the fruit market a coupke weeks ago... lying along side the road propped up against a mailbox. I was not sure if the owners were geting rid of it or if someone had dropped it off FOR them...I stopped and asked. I was assured I could take it, they were remodeling and updating...Already painted white with beautiful doorknobs , nothing I really had to do to it at all. Wipped it down and put it on my back porch for now behind this cupboard. Who knows how long it will stay there...but for now, I'm enjoying it! A special Thank You to my neighbors for updating!!!! Hoping your having a great start to your week ...xoxo~Kathy
I love the door, Kathy and how you have it set up. Beautiful vignette!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love the soft colors.
ReplyDeleteThe door looks great, such a super find. I really like the picture in a picture idea. Just so lovely. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, Thank you for dropping by my blog. I've enjoyed looking at the tablescapes at the fair for years, but ever since I starting participating in Tablescape Thursday, I decided to finally enter a competition. I love your new door, it looks great with your display. Did you see Mary Poppins yet? She's one of my favorites!

Oh my gosh! That great old door makes a wonderful backdrop for the little cupboard -- I love this. And never would have thought of it myself -- it gets filed in the "don't forget this" file!

Oh, your pages are just lovely. I especially like how you set the little cupboard in front of the door - what a great idea. And the polka-dots on the little pink frame - I'll have to copy that! Your blog is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI need to find me an old door. After seeing where you put yours, I have the perfect spot for mine (once I find it). I love the frame within a frame idea. I may have to steal, I mean borrow, that idea. Thanks for visiting my blog & leaving me a comment.
