I sometimes call it that..."Martha Stewart Green"...the color of the old "Fire king" dishes and mugs.
I love that green and it's becoming harder to find these days....
I found this little compote in a Petoskey resale shop... Looks like I'm not the only one who likes it...
Seriously?????
Love .......xxx..
ReplyDeleteI love that old book! The graphics are beautiful, aren't they? And I really like the green compote(?)..It always reminds me of the old Jadite color...perfect! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI just love the cover of that old book and it brings back lovely memories!
ReplyDeleteI do remember little boys wearing Maryjanes and actually in Montreal where I was raised there are still many people who put their little boys in Maryjanes during the summer! Very European and cute!
Have a great "beachy" day Kathy!

Ah yes ! I love that green , so much so I painted my kitchen walls that color. And I keep my eyes open for unusual Fire King and Jadite pieces . It brings back the feeling of another time.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite color ever. LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI hope to actually own a piece of it someday!
xo~Rebecca PS: Can you email me a pic of you and your hubby? I want to create a special little keepsake for you for Christmas and need time to prepare. Also...would LOVE to know how you do Christmas...your colors, etc. :) xo~

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI visited your blog today, and I thought it was so refreshing and pretty. Your photos are lovely. I love the old keys on the side bar. I collect old keys, so they caught my eye. The black and white purse is adorable. Me and my daughters just started a new blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would really enjoy coming back to visit with you and seeing all your creative, wonderful ideas. Hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

Kathy- I love THAT shade of green. My Mother left my sisters and I a complete set of jadeite- I treasure those pieces. Your bowl is so beautiful- no wonder "everyone" is flocking to be near it!!
