You know it's a little crazy out when even Church is cancelled...
Think I'll work on the rest of these shabby hangers .
Saw these on a blog...sorry can't remember where... they are so easy.
Just rip strips of your fav. fabric...fray the edges and wrap around the hanger.
Use doubled edged tape to secure or sew the different fabrics together before hand.
Try and end up around the neck to tie a "Shabby bow".
So Easy and cute.
I'm in the process of painting my walk-in closet in the bedroom PINK ...wouldn't an entire closet of these hangers be ....I better get crackin!
Merry Christmas...Kathy.
Kathy, that snow is so pretty. I love looking at it. No snow like that here, but we are having flurries today. Cute hanger idea!
ReplyDeleteOh baby it's beautiful! It's just starting here..so not as pretty as you..your photos are so so lovely..I am practicing snowmen pancakes..:)
ReplyDeleteAnd getting things done too..I may wrap a few things.. just quiet.. in my basement room..with the heat turned up..I don't want the mess upstairs..
A pink closet with those hangers..? C'est beau.
You always inspire.. just by being you.
Oh My... you certainly did get the snow. Your pics are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI drove home late last night in that... it was treacherous. And then as I got close to home in Holland, none. They say it is coming though : )
I have not seen those hangers... lovely. If I get the time, I may try them... you keep showing us great ideas.
Stay warm... K.
We had a blizzard in the Twin Cities yesterday and today the sun is shining! It can be hard...but I do love winter! Your photos are lovely! The hangers are really cute and I love the organza flowers from the last post, too! Oh...and I love your beautiful header, too! XO

ReplyDeleteHi Kathy!
ReplyDeleteI love your snow pictures. They make me shiver but at the same time they are so peaceful and lovely.
What a great idea for using scraps of fabric, and believe me I have plenty! I better get crackin on this idea.

Sissie
Biggg warm hugs from me darling.......love you Ria.....
ReplyDeleteoh my it does look cold outside, Pretty yet cold.
ReplyDeleteWow, stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful way to personalize your closet and create nonslip hangers for special outfits! It would be fun to give this a try. How to you keep the fabric from sliding off at the end of the hook?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful....just beautiful...blessings on this Lord's day,Shelley
ReplyDeleteKathy...it must be bad if they cancel church! It has finally hit down here in Ohio although not as bad as you had it up in Michigan. Looks like you had the right idea of doing some indoor things today and painting a closet pink! Those shabby hangers are going to look great in there!~Hugs, Patti
ReplyDeleteGreat snow pictures! Ours is just blowing every which way. I wish the wind would stop.
ReplyDeleteI love the hangers...what a sweet project. Every girl should have them!!
XO,
Jane
Oh Kathy Please keep the snow...we already had 3 snow stroms in Nov and I dread our winter on this mountain...Love the sweet hangers you are making my Dear friend...Many Blessings to you...Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteVery cute hangers...and a pink closet. That is a dream!! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHey Kathy- We have that same blizzard here. All the churches in our area were closed .. all the stores were closed...I don't think all of our mail roads are even plowed yet...I hope they are by tomorrow...I am missing my Starbucks fix! LOVE those hangers! Hugs-Diana
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, gorgeous pics. The wind is blowing here so hard tonight .It is about to blow me off of this mountain.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute and simple hanger ideal. I did something simular like that with cheap candy canes from the Dollar Store a few years ago. Just pulled all of the greenery and ribbon off of them and done them like you did your hanger, then I hung them on my primitive tree.
Kathy, the snow is beautiful. I love the solitude and peacefulness that I get when it snows. Still have you in my thoughts and prayers. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteWow, you got more than we did here in Chicago, but the wind was really whipping around. Bitter cold today. My Sunday consisted of three, THREE naps during our old movie marathon. A pot of soup made from what we had. A really nice day when mother nature makes you relax.
ReplyDeletegorgeous snow pictures. Stay warm...we had what we call a blizzard down here in Rock Mills, AL.....but I am at work today...flurries are still flying.
ReplyDeletesuch a chilly cool post
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy...my post title is the same as yours today!
ReplyDeleteHaha...we got blasted yesterday too!
Your pics are great! I love getting snowed in, but the absence of power wasn't so nice.
It's sunny today...and the power is back on..finally.
Have fun with that pink closet project.
Debbie@lakehouse
oh my! Over here our weather isn't SO COLD like yours but it is so easy to get a frost bite!!! Dont' you think? I can't believe no one shoveled at my house! I guess there is just a lot to do the next time!

Oh, Kathy, keep warm! It's freezing here too but all of our snow washed away!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Diane
OMGoodness! You make snow look gorgeous- not cold! We got a few inches a couple of days ago. Even though I dreaded shoveling and blowing it, I still love that magical time in early morning when everything is still and peaceful. It is beauty at one of its finest hours....
ReplyDeleteThat snow looks cold - we have it here too - and it has been NO fun! (I was trapped at the hospital for 4 days in a blizzard - ugh!) It is beautiful though - your photos are stunning!
ReplyDeleteLove the hangers - what a great idea - these would make a wonderful gift!
Hugs- stay warm - be happy-
