Change...it's inevitable...learning to go with it can take some determination.
My entire life has changed this past 7 months with the absence of my Love...
I observe everything differently...
I've taken on a new identity while trying to make peace with the old.
Changing my profile photo only seems natural at this point...My former photo was from another time, a special time...things are changing now and so am I.
So when I pop up on your blog with my Camera in front of my face and the word "Smile" written across it...trust that is exactly what I'm trying to do. S-M-I-L-E
Change is everywhere...
There is a time and a season for everything...
Love this, Kathy. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteKathy this is beautiful and I'm so happy you are smiling! Moving on is hard but it's what life is all about.
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
I love your new layout. Your pictures are so beautiful. Change is indeed a given.
ReplyDeleteKathy~
ReplyDeleteI'm here..
an ear to listen,
a shoulder to lean on..
hugs..
a big box of tissues..
but most of all
an open heart..
to help you whenever,
however..
my life has been full of changes..
lost loves..
new loves..
Know that our Maker has charted our path..
He's always there..
just open your heart..
and mind..
He'll lead you in the right direction..
helping you along the way..
much love..
warmest hugs..
Loui♥
I am sure that, that kind of change is the hardest. I think of you/pray for you often.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are lovely & I am smiling when I see your lovely pic... with the camera right out front that Dave bought for you...
Be well... (Your hair is adorable !!! )
Hello Kathy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post!!!
You look cute behind the camera and
Your pictures are beautiful!!
I do try to resist changes at my age but changes are necessary sometimes.
Thanks for sharing!
Suzann ~xoxo~
Life is good.
ReplyDeleteAnd I will SMILE everytime I see your face.
I love your new profile photo, and your brite colored jewelry. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful new pic. Love your image and yes, I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers and smile. God Bless. Hugs, marty
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't believe how often I think of you and the pain you went through with the loss of your sweetheart last year. Oh, sugar, I wish you nothing but sunshine, roses and happiness. Celebrating our 50th anniversary last week brought home the less future we have than the past. Years accumulate way too fast, honey.
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Connie
Kathy- beautiful. I love the scripture and the photo! I can't imagine this part of your walk- just letting the kids go from the nest was difficult enough for me. I don't even want to think about the woman I'd be ...when I'm totally alone. Glad you're able to {smile} God bless you. Pat
ReplyDeleteConnie...50 years...wow! how wonderful...
ReplyDeleteI know your loving every moment.
We had 40 fabulous years and would have given anything for another 10!
Happy Anniversary to you both.
Wishing you all a wonderful Weekend...
~Kathy.
I can tell you are trying but I still hear saddness in those words. I know my cousin's husband is having such a hard time. My cousin died in Feb. after a three week bout with H1N1. He is really struggling. I feel so bad for you. I can't imagine.
ReplyDeleteYou are too beautiful to hide behind that camera. Just take baby steps and we are all here if you need us. (((((HUGS))))
O my daer sweet Kathy...you looking so beautiful !...i now that tears and a smile are so close together....what i also now that life is good how hard sometimes......smile on my face.....and continiue....xxx..
ReplyDeleteSweet friend...I'm always lifting you up to the Father.
ReplyDeleteI've never experienced the loss of a hubby so it's hard to relate to that specific heartache. But, I do know when my children grew up and left for college and were no longer under my protective wing it almost killed me. I cried for months and even now, all these years later, I'm still sad they are gone from my daily presence.
That said...if my heart hurt over such a normal-life-thing, I can't imagine how you feel with the passing of your beloved. All the more reason your name remains on my prayer list. I hope knowing you will see him again brings you some moments of His peace...
I'm envisioning your smiling face!
Love, Rebecca
Change is inevitable Kathy, but I know God still has you firmly in his loving hands:>)
ReplyDeleteA most lovely profile photo!

Yes things change a lot when we loose our main focus. We have to start over and focus on something else . And it is not always easy to smile , but smiling makes you feel better . I love the profile picture , you hair is gorgeous ! It just seems a shame to not see a little of your pretty face .
ReplyDeleteI love the new look, Kathy. And I have only the greatest admiration for the way you have handled your heartbreak.

Kathy,
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you. LDH sent me a link to your blog. My love went on to the stars in February after a battle with cancer. I am trying to smile and sometimes I do!
You are still such a role model for me.
ReplyDeleteCan you see me smiling at you? Yes a few tears in my eyes for sure..
But I love your attitude.
You're one of a kind..
Love the words..

Such kind words from my blog friends...Thank You.
ReplyDeleteYou bless my heart to overflowing.
Snap- Glad to meet you...thank you for following.
You have carved a place in my heart purely by what your going through.
I promise to pray for you daily.
I can testify to the fact that some days the prayers of those who love you are the lifeboat for the day.
You will make it to the other side of this...I will too.
Hihs, Kathy.
Kathy..you are such a so beautiful woman...outside and inside!!! It's always a pleasure to visit your blog and read these beautiful thoughts..... you are a great example for me...ty, xoxoxo, Flavia
ReplyDeleteKathy, today's post is so beautiful, full of the daily sadness, the daily effort to smile, and it also shows that you are healing or accepting how your life is now or whatever! I love the Scripture, the pictures, the jewelry, the hope, and I loved my time with you Barb in May. You are a treasure and always have been and always will be, just like Jesus is the same today and tomorrow. Love you! Mary
ReplyDeleteKathy, God Bless you!! You are working so hard to accept change! Pretty soon you will not have to work to accept it , you will embrace it!!
ReplyDeleteSWEET KATHY!!! Oh precious one, did you lose someone special to you?????? I remember meeting you a while back and I want to thank you for coming to visit me....but my dear, are you alright? You are so kind and beautiful and your comments were so uplifting my friend....be at peace...we are all in this THING together..we are all so separated by distance, but know that there are those of US who care! LOVE TO YOU and thanks for stopping by!! Anita
ReplyDeleteWhen my Mom lost my Dad she said "Well, I have a choice, I can go on and enjoy my life or stay stuck and spend my day's smelling your Dad's clothes" She went on, not easy, but she's found a full and happy life. I think you are on that road...going on
ReplyDeleteCarol
Kathy, Change is sometimes so hard isn't it.
ReplyDeleteWishing you well and sending you hugs! SMILE!
Have a PRETTY day!
Kristin
Kathy, It was nice to "meet" you as you stopped by my "place" recently. I see I've come to know you at a point of great change in your life. Your pictures are beautiful; clearly you have a strong determination to live courageously and joyfully in spite of difficult circumstances. May God's beauty rest upon you and inside of you...I look forward to learning to know you better!
ReplyDeleteMorning Kathy,
ReplyDeleteLike your new picture and I am sure you are trying to smile, but even our best efforts at times like what you are going thru just take time!
This was a beautiful post..........and know this has got to be the hardest change of all when you have had such a close relationship with another,
the husband and wife relationship being the closest there is!! Know I still pray for you,
because I can only imagine..........cause I am
very close to my hubby as well. He just recently went back to work after us being together constantly for 13 mos. and my first day
out of the house without him was awkwardly strange, so I can only imagine how hard this is for you and how long it takes to feel normal again .......but like you say God is doing a new thing and there is a time for everything! Will sure keep you in my prayers hon,
Blessings, Nellie
Hi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI am your newest follower. So happy to have found you, even in the saddest time of your life, but it seems you are moving on which is a positive step. The winner of the Welah Bog Award this year was a young girl who lost her husband. It's so poingnant but a great read.

You may be able to relate better than any of us!
Keep smiling
Warmest wishes

Change is the only constant but it never gets any less difficult.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad that your change is the result of a loss, but it sounds like you have a wonderful resilient spirit and that you'll be fine :)
