Found this perfect shade of green muffin holder the other day....took 6 candles....glittered them up in pure Holiday fashion...added a HAPPY snowman ...How easy and cute is that!!!! I have used antique tins in the past ...just as cute too. Just couldn't pass up this perfect colored ceramic one... Hope he doesn't melt!!!...
I have six plain old white "ball" candles and the same kind of glitter. Did you just use Tacky glue? I have that...
ReplyDeleteI think mine just might look like SNOWBALLS!
Thanks for the great idea :)
I'm sure tacky glue would work...I used a clear adhesive and SULYN glitter...a creamy white. Any glitter would work depending on the effect your looking for. Good Luck...would love to see your end result! xoxo~Kathy.
ReplyDeleteJust.. darling:) You are very good at this type of thing:)
ReplyDeleteWow - this is so pretty. I never would have thought to use a muffin tin and put glitter on candles. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteWow, I'm not sure if I'm more impressed with the glitter candles and the cute little snowman or your photographs. They are fantastic! I mean, they are right there in your face...can't miss a thing photographs ;-)

Kathy, that is the prettiest muffin tin! What a pretty idea! Thank you for stopping by and for your sweet, encouraging words. Have a nice day! Twyla
ReplyDeleteJane: Found the snowman on his little snowy box last year after Christmas...He was a deal and I liked his smile...He needed me, xoxo~Kathy.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable idea and your photos are just beautiful. I see in earlier comments that you used Sulyn glitter. May I ask where you purchase that type of glitter. I am assuming it is thicker than Martha Stewart's glitter ??
ReplyDeleteHappy Home...I picked up Sulyn at Michaels I believe...I think it looks thicker because the photos are so close and it is a courser glitter anyway... Martha's glitter comes in different grades of thickness too...I think You would be happy with any of the crystal types...Happy glittering! xoxo~Kathy
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea, another fun project to do with my Grand-daughter. The gllitter is so fun and putting the candles into a muffin pan is a great idea, also our photos are amazing!. I think Mr. Sownman is very happy living at your house.
You have friends that spin how wonderful, I wish I lived close to you... I really am so excieted about learning this process. I have been knitting and crocheting ever since I was 12,so spining my yarn is going to be such a treat and to see my own yarn spun into a sweater or scarf will be rewarding.
Enjoy your day and keep creating,
Elizabeth
Love the glitter on the candles, just adds such festivity!
