I decided this was the moment....
gonna make a few coffee filter flowers... Once I got into it I decided I liked the flowers where I crinkled up the filters first ...like in a tight wad, then straightend them out and stacked about 6 on top of each other.
Once stacked ...grab in the center...twist and wrap a wire around the twisted part.
Peal and fluff the layers back ...one by one.
Same idea as the pom, poms we used to make for floats in High school...
Yeah!... now you've got the idea.
The natural colored ones would be charming too...
spray sparkly glitter on them...
dip the edges in a tea bath for an antique effect...
Stick one in your hair and go for a walk....give the neighbors something to talk about!!!
kinda easy...
kinda shabby...
I'm so easily entertained!!!!!!!
Have a winner weekend my sweets,
xoxo~Kathy
Good thing you drink coffee or we wouldn't have such lovely flowers.

They do look so cute. I'm afraid mine would look like awful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. How fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog and it's fun to visit you. Love all your pretties and congratulations on the Somerset mag. Your tags/bookmarks are darling. And I may have to try a flower, think the natural might look really nice as that's what I have in my cupboard. Have a nice weekend.

Hi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see you again. Thanks for stopping by. I was wondering what happened to you and then I checked to see why I've not been getting updates - somehow (don't ask me how) you got "unfollowed" by me and that's why you were MIA ;-) but I fixed it.
Those coffee filter flowers are great. I have to try one just for fun. They'd make a nice embellishment for a last minute gift "bow"...very sweet. Have a wonderful weekend my friend,
Doris :-)
Hi Kathy;
ReplyDeleteI love your flowers. So beautiful. I've never tried making them before, but I just might have to give it a try now! Have a great weekend.

How clever! I can only imagine what I would come up with ~ prolly like someone squished the filters and then left a mess. :-) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend ~
Pat
Your flowers are so cute! I was just talking with someone the other day and thinking about flowers I used to make as a child out of Kleenex tissues. They were torn on the edges and looked like carnations. I liked yours made out of coffee filters and they are really pretty made out of tissue paper! And you can scallop the edges for a nice look! Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Love making these too. Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful weekend
ReplyDeleteThese are simply beautiful Kathy. I love thatyouleft them their white color - they made such a stunning bouquet!
ReplyDeleteI continue to pray for you and your hubby - I hope that all is going well with that for now. You have been a pillar of faith and strength through this all. You are an amazing lady~~~

I love your posies....they look like big fluffy roses or peonies....I have seen them before, but I think you really have the handle on making them....were they difficult? Looking at them makes my fingers itch to try them.....
ReplyDeleteHow is it up in your part of Michigan...love the new ads for our state...hope they are going national with it...
Have a happy, happy weekend!

Just lovely Kathy! I learned a few yours back how to make roses wit coffee filters and then paint them with a very watered down mix of watercolor paint and although I gave most of them away I still have 2 I kept for myself. I always wanted to try using coffee filters to make other flowers as well but haven't found the time yet to experiment. Have a great Saturday!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty and serene, and I love that you left them white. Thanks again for the calming effect your blog has on me. You are always so uplifting...
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you are able to take time to post as much as you do. I find that the pictures are so time consuming for me, and so during this stressful time I just stopped blogging. I hope to get back up to speed soon.
Talk to you soon ;)
Bunny Jean
Your filter flowers look awesome.
ReplyDeleteCute idea. Is there anything you can't make?
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteOk sister, you are bored right? But, I gotta tell you, I love those little coffee filter flowers. You have a way of making them look so pretty and special.
