We are a little in love with Garlic.......
when I spotted this new garlic press ...the handle, it was the handle that did it...it's my color...a pretty coral ...I had to have it.
Some things are just NOT what they seem....
does it work ?...yes...but not well

That's what I get for buying something just because it's pretty.....

especially since I already have one that I love and works wonderfully...

What was I thinking???...

It had to be the color...that's the only thing I can think of!!!...

Now I must apologize to my "Tried and True" garlic press....

TODAY WE ROLLED WITH IT...COTTAGE STYLE...

Some days the best laid plans just have to wait for another day...
How are you at rolling with it...and "Going with the flow" when things don't go the way you've planned ?
I had a Dentist appt. at 11:00 am today...
Our Car windshield had a crack and was going to get fixed at noon...
followed by numerous errands in the afternoon...

My love wakes up and after we noticed the clear bandage over his port was ballooned up with fluid and blood oozing down his chest...all plans changed...instantly.
I calmped everything off...shut off the pump and off to Grand Rapids for the second day in a row.
I AM THANKFUL FOR...
A dentist who understands...
a calm husband...
good weather to drive in...
a sence of humor...
the words..."Don't worry, there's nothing wrong here we can't fix"...
going back ..Again..tomorrow and have the pack removed...for 10 days...
remembering to grab this "Cottage Style Magazine"...to gaze through

VICTORIA BLISS...UPDATE ON MY LOVE AND ...THE BIG GIVEAWAY...

while my love was recieving "Round 2" of Chemo today ....I enjoyed a little "Catch Up" reading in the newest Victoria Magazine...WONDERFUL.... A few photos to entice you and then an "UPDATE" on my love...

After leafing through Victoria...I felt SPRING !!!!!...definately around the corner.

Now for a little update on David...

Another white knuckle drive to Grand Rapids early this morning....always seems to snow the night before we leave!...Daves B/Pressure was unusually high... due to the tense drive I'm sure.

We met with our Oncologist after a blood draw to discuss any side effects Dave may be having.

NONE....zero....we almost felt quilty!

Dr. Amy was extatic that he did so well and his w/blood count was good this morning so she okayed round 2 of the Chemo which Dave seemed to tolerate well.

Son Brian came with Granson Owen ....Grandchildren are good at helping the time to pass quickly. We had a nice visit while Dave relaxed and recieved all the Chemos...

We had a little glitch with the fanny pack on the ride home .

The chemo pack kept beeping and for the life of me I couldn't get it to stop...so we went back and let the professionals fix it...(while I watched ...just in case it happens again!).

The ride home was much better then the morning trip.

This evening Dave is busy around the house....no effects except tingeling in his fingertips and lips when he drinks something cold.

Wednesday we go back to get unhooked.

We are both happy we had the port inserted into Daves chest as already it has proved to be a great convenience.

We are continually thankful for your prayers as we are sure that is why Dave is doing so well...

He is taking this time to Read, read, read....stacks of books....as I blog , he even reads to me.

It's like having Audio tapes...only with a sexy voice..

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU..."GIVEAWAY"...My Maiden Giveaway...

After hearing your delightful comments about my new found "Branch Paper Holder" complete with Little Bird and Nest...I started to do some thinking...(can you see the smoke?)!
So many of you wanted to know where I found it and how you could get a hold of one...so I let my fingers do the walking and called the Thrift store where I purchased it and asked if there were any more....Bottom line, the charming sales girl put aside three of them and my Love and I made the hour drive to pick them up...

MY TAKE ON THE POTTERY BARN , "NEST" PILLOWS

Instead of spending a Mortgage payment on one of those darling "Pottery Barn Pillows"...
I made my own NEST definition with chosen font on the computer then printed it on "Crafter's Images Photo Fabric"...Worked great.
The Pottery Barn pillows are made out of linen which I loved too...but the Rose fabric is more ME.....So I used that instead.
Easy to make....VERY inexpensive too...
I didn't use a pillow form because it's so tiny...just stuffed it with fiberfill...
This Morning I discovered I was the winner of Dawns fabulous giveaway....from "The Feathered Nest"....I will post my treasures when they come in the mail...BUT!!!!
I'm thinking this little pillow will go great with my winnings...THANK YOU AGAIN DAWN!!!

Do you keep paper towels visible in the kitchen? ....I always hide them under the sink...
I came across this very "Ooh, la- la" towel holder ....I knew that was going to change where I stored paper towels from here on in!...
created a little tag to "French" it up a bit...
the little birds nest stole my heart!...Added some eggs...
