WE'VE PURCHASED A NEW .@#%**//..THINGY...

Forgive the dark photos... Sunshine....on vacation...
Dave and I were thrifting a couple weeks back and spotted this candelabra?.../ hot air ballon?/...basket?/...thingy!!!!!
Brought it home...washed it up...painted it pale pink, ( big surprise!)...added some polka dot ribbon and hung a big crystal from the top...

Found some tall pale pink tapers at the Maxx...

Tossed some yarn balls in shades of white in the basket part...

Isn't that an unusual piece?...I think I need more crystals hanging from the balloon lattace...
What do you think?
If you look at it long enough...there are a lot of things you could do with it!

For now...this is where it is. Won't stay there for long though...nothing ever does!
Are you a mover and a shaker?...always moving things around?
Happy weekend!!!!, xoxo~Kathy.
Promise to take better photos when the sunshines...

  2. LoL, is this Ozarks farm chick a mover or a shaker. Do ducks quack? Heeeeheehe! Yep, I love to shake thing up 'round the old Ponderosa. Never a dull moment around here. I'm so glad I popped in.

Ya'll have a fabulously blessed weekend from the hills and hollers of Missouri!

  3. Just love your balloon thingy it looks great painted pink. The crystals look terrific too, I think tiny roses and pink and white ribbons hanging from each candle base would look great too, and maybe larger pink and white faux roses in the base also. Nice job!

I'm so glad I took time out to visit you today. I wanted to get up to speed on your husband's treatment. Sounds like he is in very good hands.

You have the right attitude... those cancer cells better run for the hills!

    See ya soon ;)

  11. Hi Kathy,
I really like this candelabra you found and what you have done with it. Yes I am a mover and shaker, nothing stays in the same place for long around my place either.
I also read some of your other post and find that you are gifted and talented with your hands, I have so much admiration for women who are so gifted, and I love to see them use the talents that God has given them.
I want you to know that I will be praying for your husband and your family. In reading your blog, I see that you have a very strong faith.
Thank you for visiting me and for leaving such a sweet comment.

  13. No, 'fraid not so much... We like what we like and tend to place a thing somewhere and then it just stays. That's probably why I don't do much decorating stuff on my Blog! I love looking at yours though!

  16. Kathy,
What a wonderful find! I think the yarn balls are such a creative touch. More crystals, definately! I recieved a high end "To The Trade" catalog this week, and they have a balloon light fixture I was admiring, but the price was out of this world. I really like your new goodie.
