I felt like these seagulls......happy and content to have my own little perch to rest on in this world of ours...... Since January....I feel like these gulls....trying to stay one step ahead of the big dragon...
No time to rest and feel NORMAL like before, ( what is normal anyway?)...Instead our minds are always doing some form of mental gymnastics....
There are days I feel I'm too old to go out for the OLYMPICS...and the gymnastics are too much, but then I hear that small strong voice reassuring me..."I'll never allow more then you can handle in your life"....and I'm encouraged once again and take my stance with sword in hand ... stare boldly into the face of doubt and slay it once again....
Today was a glorious day....the sun shining brilliantly...chemo administered without a hitch...some of our Children came to help the time pass.
David is feeling good....eating well, and even golfing on the off week of Chemo.
Sometimes I have a hard time wrapping my head around the severity of this cancer because he feels so well...to look at him you'd never know.
Hoping everything is sunny and calm from your perch in this world...Enjoy every moment!
xoxo~Kathy.
G'eve Kathy ~ I am so glad to know that David is coming thru this well. God bless you both.
ReplyDeleteKnow you are all in our prayers ... I wish you love, healing & joys.

TTFN~ Hugs, Marydon
Kathy....Loved your post today. You expressed your feelings so well. Our husband is lucky to have you as his partner in life!~Hugs, Patti
ReplyDeleteGlad everything went well for you and your husband today. Praise God!! I know what you mean about God not giving us more than we can handle. Sometimes we wonder, don't we? One comforting thought is that He is ALWAYS there with us through it all. We are never alone. Hang in there, Kathy, this too shall pass and your life will be back to normal. Whatever that is. In the meantime, know that your sweet blog friends are here for you and that we are praying for your family. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteWhoops! Make that "your" husband! ~Patti
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post Kathy. We can all gain strength from your words and know that we can endure whatever we are going through with grace. Glad to hear things are going well! Love and Hugs! Cathy G

ReplyDeleteHey Kathy! Loved the seagulls! Glad to hear things are going OK. Keep the faith, and keep on keepin' on.
ReplyDeleteYour positive attitude help your hubby more than anything! I know that it is tough and just know that lots of prayers are going up for you and your husband. Your photos are lovely and spring is just around the corner....from a girl from Tennessee!
ReplyDeleteAahh- Strength comes from down deep sometimes... I'm continuing to wish you both good thoughts and wishes. This weekend was a bit rough here, what with the new surgery on Friday and the lack of pain management. After a late morning trip to the ER for corrective meds, I think tonight will be smoother and Mr.S can sleep. And I won't have to have a cocktail to relax me! *grin* ... Although that beer I had last night tasted pretty darn good! take care.
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs, Sue
