Peek into my Home...

It has just dawned on me...I have never really let you into my home much, so for the next couple weeks I'll try and take you on a tour of the digs!!!... Keep in mind, nothing ever stays the same very long! Always changing it up and tweeking things, I believe that's the case with most of you out there. Before I even get started let me say what a delightful inspiration you all have been to me...not only with your talented Tablescaping and amazing blogging of your homes and interests but mostly you inspire me by the time you take out of your day to encourage me as a blogger by your kind and thoughtful comments. (That was a long sentance!!!)....You are sincerely my inspiration...xoxo~Kathy. Birds live in our house...Way up high in the living room, ceilings are 10ft-13ft...

I made these leaves out of plaster and glued each one onto the wall above the arched window that leads to the backporch...Painting them all by hand was a pain....But worth it.
The door to the backporch...2 years ago my husband added onto the existing porch and put up all the white railing...We love it...Will feature it soon.

The Living area and kitchen are all one big room, the walls are painted 3 different pastels. Butter Yellow,(Restoration Hardware) , a soft peachy pink color and a light minty green...

Have a wonderful Friday my friends, hope your planning a special weekend.
We are off to a long awaited golf weekend with friends, xoxo~Kathy.

  2. Oh my gosh, I love those leaves! What a great idea! I bet that must have taken some time and effort to put up...but the end result definitely looks worth it. I love all of your color choices for your living room, too...you are one talented decorator! :) And I can't wait to see that porch of yours! Just from the peek of the white railing I can already tell that I'm going to love that, too! ;)

  3. Kathy, those leaves are fantastic...perfect over the arch to your back porch/deck. Beautiful room. I so want to see that deck, I spoted a wagon or something like it that I'm anxious to see. Thanks so much for sharing.

  5. Hi Kathy...

Just read the sweet note that you left on my water tablescape...thank you so much for coming by and for your sweet comments! I sure do appreciate your following my blog...I look forward to getting to know you, my friend!

Ohhh my...your home is gorgeous!!! I love your pretty french doors and arched window above...but ohhh my...my favorite is the plaster leaves that you added to the wall around that arch!!! It's absolutely gorgeous...I love that idea! I would love to do some of this at my place! When I was redoing my master bedroom, I wanted an "old world" feel to the plaster. I added plaster scroll designs, using a stencil, to the walls in a random pattern. I loved how that turned out. Hmmm...you've got my creative wheels a turnin'! Hehe! Thanks for the great idea!!!

I loved my visit to your beautiful living room, Darlin'!

    Warmest wishes,
    Chari
