SLAYING THE DRAGON...

For the next few months...at least til we are on solid ground ...I will post when possible any updates and progress reports available.
This blog initially started out as an "Artful" blog and still is...just taking a momentary detour. When we look back in ten years I'm sure by then Momentary will apply.
Hopefully this will be helpful for family and friends wanting to catch up on our journey...as My handsome prince slays this NASTY dragon...xoxo~Kathy.

  3. Hi Kathy,
Thanks for joining as a follower, I was so surprised with all you have on your plate, but glad. I think the Lord could have given you this blog for "such a time as this", so don't worry about it being artful right now! We just all want to know how things are going so we can pray.
So glad you have your son to help, what a blessing that is!
Hope you get good advice from the new Drs.
    Blessings, Nellie

  4. I am a cancer survivor (6 years). I am sure praying for your husband. Someone sent this to me when I had my surgery. I want to share it with you. You may have already seen it.

Cancer is so limited... It cannot cripple love.
    It cannot corrode faith.
    It cannot shatter hope.
    It cannot destroy confidence.
    It cannot eat away peace.
    It cannot kill friendship.
    It cannot shutout memories.
    It cannot silence courage.
    It cannot invade the soul.
    It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot lessen the power of the resurrection.
    It cannot quench the spirit.

Praying for you and your husband. God has his arms around both of you during this time. Love & blessings from NC!

  9. I found this quote from the rolodex that was my mother-in-laws.
"Be sure if God sends you on stony paths, He will provide you with strong shoes"
As always my prayers are with you both.

  10. Hi Kathy

So sorry to hear of your Prince's diagnosis. All I can say is to not give up hope and to NEVER stop believing. My (now ex) mother-in-law had colon cancer which then traveled to her liver. It was an extremely long road, but she ultimately beat it. I truly believe it was her positive attitude that contributed to her recovery. Oh sure, she had her bad days, but for the most part, she just knew she would get better.

With your belief and God's grace surrounding you, all things are possible. I'll be sure to send some extra prayers your way.

    Love and hugs,
    Tamerie

  15. Kathy, I am still praying for your husband (and you!). Oddly enough, my blog began as a way to keep family and friends updated on my mother in law's battle with cancer and it was an easy way to let everyone know how she was doing. I remember being so surprised when I got my first comment, I never thought anyone but family would see it. Now she is in remission and my blog has become something else entirely. Hang in there. Keep praying and believing.

  16. Hi Kathy, it's me... your cousin Ginger. My Mom, Jan, forwarded an e-mail from David with your Blog link. After scanning through it for a few minutes, I realized that when I grow up (yes, I know I'm almost 40), I want to be just like you! Creative, resourceful, organized, loving and a strong faith in God. And that's only what I gathered in a few minutes of nosing around the blog! I pray for David everyday - just thought you'd like to know that there is family out here thinking of you. Blessed be God's name!
