Stone and rocks are like magnets to me...I'm drawn right in... When our children were young and we lived on a farm, I would pile them in our truck and announce we were going on a "Rocky Run". They would moan...and I would bribe them with a stop to get ice cream if they would help me get stones along side the country roads to bring back for my rock garden. We lived way out in the country where rocks were plentiful just for the picking...Pictured here is a great Stone Fireplace dressed in an amazing mantel . Our friends Doug and Patti had this created when building their home a few years back...
Kathy--The natural colors and textures make this amazing. I don't think we have natural rocks like that (or anything else!) around here. Your hand does gravitate towards it naturally! Thanks for your sweet comment, but Jessie owns me!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy! Oh, what beautiful stone work! Love how they made the flower design! Love your header too!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,

I have always had a love of rocks too. As a tiny child my Mom would always have to pull rocks out of my pockets before washing clothes. Growing up we camped alot and I'd always bring home rocks. I dont know what it is about them.
ReplyDeleteI just want to draw a smiley face in the middle of the flower. :-)
Did I hear the words ROCKS? I'm there, would be great fun to go rockin' together. WOW! that mantle is cool and the floral rock design, well I just love it!

Absolutely stunning fireplace. I share your love of rocks and stones. I, too, used to have days where I scoured construction sites for rocks for my gardens. Last time we moved, I had my movers load up my rocks too.
