It is amazing what you can let go when you set your mind to it....now if I can just let go of this@#$%^&*(*&^%$# kidney stone!!!! Happy Holiday, xoxo~Kathy.
Hi Kathy...I sure wish I lived near you...that gorgeous stove and adorable high chair would have found it's way into my house...ofcourse I would have to contend with snow instead of sun....Sue in Atlanta
ReplyDeleteSomeone got some really gorgeous treasures. I have a hard time letting go of any of my antiques. Maybe someday. I just give whatever I don't have room for to my DIL. I can't wait to see what new you get. Hope you're better soon. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy!
ReplyDeleteI hopped over from BJ's place...Hope you are feeling better. my blogger friend just had a similar problem...not good!
You are good to part with your things! I must do it..way too much at an age where we are supposed to be Simplifying!!!
Hope you are enjoying the weekend..it is just gorgeous here on the East end of Long Island, NY!
Oh my goodness! How can you let let precious stove go? I know that had to hurt! ehehehehehe
ReplyDeleteD
O, for crying out loud, Kathy....I just wish I lived close to you...I would have taken some of these wonderful items off your hands!! :>)
ReplyDeleteOh wow! You got rid of some great stuff! I love that high chair! Very cute and vintagy!
ReplyDelete*Shocked* I didn't know you have a kidney stone, you poor thing!
Blessings,
Sandra
It must be hard to say goodbye to your things! I know it would be for me - although I find I am most ruthless when it is moving time. I reach a point where I simply can't take everything with me!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon! That kidney stone business is not fun.
xo
Claudia
Oh my gosh I would have kept the oven and high chair for you and let you use them:(
ReplyDeleteWhat a good girl you are parting with such treasures!!!!
Hi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteThose are some lovely treasures you let go of, I love the high chair. I hope you let go of the kidney stone soon...they are no fun!!
It must have been so hard to say goodbye to those lovely things, Kathy. I like them all!....Christine
ReplyDeleteYou are right those treasures that was once yours will become treasures for someone else...and so the passing of treasures will continue.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Oooh, I love that stove! I'm glad you are taking the move and the letting go all in stride.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you are going through the pain of a kidney stone on top of all this other stuff. Wishing you health!
Beautiful things to say goodbye too, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping to hear you were feeling better!!
I'm sniffling just watching your beautiful things go bye-bye! I have a hard time letting go of things myself. I am sure your treasures will make the new owners very happy, though.
ReplyDeleteLove your fall header photo, BTW.
Jane
P.S. I hope you feel better, too.
ReplyDeleteKathy- Being a sentimental 'stuff' person this makes me sad. But it does feel SO good to get rid of 'stuff', especially when you're moving so congrats. LOVE that wicker high chair and the stove!
ReplyDeleteKathy, I do not know how in the world you could watch them drive away with the stove. OMG that is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I am afraid I would still be sitting at the driveway crying, even with the move, I just don't think I could have let it go. I had so prayed that your darn kidney stone would move on and give you some peace. I pray that it will move soon. I have had them so I know what you are feeling. It was so painful to pass it, but once I did oh my gosh I felt like a million bucks for sure. I will keep you in my prayers. When is the move taking place? Take care of yourself my friend. Country hugs, Sherry
ReplyDeleteI understand how hard it is...I am a terrible pack rat. It is so difficult to part with things..I must admit I am getting better.
ReplyDeleteWish I lived nearby! :)
Kathy~
ReplyDeleteI think I know how difficult it must have been to make the decisions of letting go of your precious treasures....I would have bought the highchair for my grandbabies and the oven for childhood memories.
I wish you luck with your kidney stones, someone as kind and gentle as you shouldn't have to suffer~~
Dianne
Wow! You said goodbye to some really good stuff! At least it will all have new homes where it will be appreciated and loved! Good luck with the kidney stone and I hope it goes soon.
ReplyDeleteYou are being so 'grown up' about this! I would be crying because I'm not a good 'leter goer of':( I hope you are feeling well. Prayers for you! Twyla
