I thought this the PERFECT time to share a post on ROCKS....Many of you love rocks as much as I do...These formations are on the shoreline of Mackinac Island. As I biked around the island I was amazed at how many "Rock Statues" were constructed by tourists... At this juncture my body is TRYING to PASS a KIDNEY STONE.... Yeah...I wish I was kidding!!!!

Can I say the little bugger feels like about the size of one of these ROCKS...

At this point there is not much I can do but all the advised remidies and hope it eventually drops into the bladder....Getting from the kidney to the bladder is the REAL picnic!

When it's moving...YIKES...DRUGS !!!!!...when it stops moving I can tolerate it enough to BLOG!!!! I'm up for any suggestions to motivate this little nugget to leave the building, ( so to speak)... arn't these statues great!....Have a wonderful Holiday weekend, xoxo~Kathy

  1. OMGosh, Kathy. I've never had a kidney stone but I've heard how painful they can be.
Isn't there some sort of high vibration treatment that can shatter the little buggers? I've heard of that. Maybe your doctor can help you there.
Hoping you pass it or have it shattered very SOON...
Remember that, if you are feeling well enuf, I have you on my Pink Sat. post for tomorrow.
I hope you sleep good tonight...
    xo bj

  2. Kathy..I hope you feel better soon..I think I have a little organza pouch here w/ a stone in it to help..If you send me your address..I will send it to you!

I cannot hear the song your husband is singing:(

  3. Sure wish I could be of help, Kathy. Hope that kidney stone gets through fast, although I realize it could never be fast enough. My Dad is dealing with one right now. The stone "art" in the photos are interesting. I'll be praying for you.

  4. Oh...yuckkkyyyy.. I have heard that is very painful, more than painful...I'm so sorry for you....get well fast...

  5. bj...thanks, If I don't pass it soon, cat scan, but even with that there's really nothing to do unless it's hugh and won't pass on it's own...Looking forward to tomorrows post too,
Thanks everyone for your prayers, xoxo~Kathy.

  6. Nana...Hummm.. Im hearing the music... "I only want to be the man"... do you usually hear the music when your here?... Just changed it rescently...anyone else not hearing the music?,xoxo~Kathy.

  7. So sorry you're not feeling well. I've heard that is really painful! Regarding the rocks outside the body, I love these formations. Aren't they drawing energy to earth or something like that?

  8. Bless you heart, I hope you get to feeling better soon! Thanks very much for paying me a blog visit earlier today, always a pleasure to see you! Have a blessed and pain-free Labor Day Weekend.
    ~ Anne

  9. Kathy,

I am sorry you are going through this. There is another blogger that is waiting for her stones to start their journey and she has gotten oodles of advice. If you want, visit April at Straight From The She is a sweetheart.

Good luck. I'll be thinking of you and praying for a quick end to this...

  10. I know what you are feeling, had to have one removed last year - basket retrieval one week, liptotripsy second week! A lot like labor pains (labor pains 40 years ago before all the meds you get now). If it isn't too big you can try filling your kidneys with as much water as possible, then sit down hard on a kitchen chair. That is suppose to knock it on down. Don't know if it works but read it on the internet. BTW - Toradol was the only thing that stopped the pain for me. Get to your doc and get some pain pills, girl, you will need them.

  11. Thanks Blondie, I'll visit April. Right now Tramadol is my friend...takes the edge off, or makes me not care so much !!Ha! I'll try the h2o and plopping in a chair...Mostly walk, walk, walking up and down our street in the middle of the night, thanks sweeties..~Kathy~

  12. Hi Kathy,
Just wanted to let you know I saw BJ's lovely tribute to you and wanted to say congratulations! I'm so sorry you're having to deal with the kidney stone problem ... this too shall pass ... and, with any luck, very, very soon!

  13. So sorry about the stones.... I really enjoyed your blog and you have some adorable grand kids. Have a good weekend.

  14. Oh Kathy!
I so feel your pain. I have had kidney stones too. Being an insulin diabetic, we are quite prone to them. I have to be so careful with the protein that I bring into my diet. I will pray for you honey that it passes soon, and you can move forward with your life, and get back to doing the things that you love most. I had to stop over and visit, after reading BJs post. She sure didn't exagerate. Thanks for sharing with us. I have signed up to Follow your blog, I can't wait to see where you go next. Please stop by and say hi. I would love to have you visit. Country hugs, Sherry

  15. Morning friend...I just came over from BJ's to say have a beautiful blog girl...and I am so sorry to hear about the kidney stone...I pray that it pass quickly and you wake up pain free! take care friend and have a glorious Labor Day weekend.

  16. Kathy, I experienced this horrific pain 5 years ago and have never felt so bad. I had back labor with my son and this pain was equivalent to it. It took 4 days with no relief from pain meds before it passed. I hope you will have a faster "transportation" for your little bugger. Take care. Sue

  17. Hope you are feeling better soon, Kathy!!!!

I just looked through your fallerizing posts. They are beautiful!

  18. Oh my sympathy -- I've had them too -- felt like I was being shredded from the inside by glass shards -- the only time in my life I thought I would lose conciousness from pain -- and was wishing mightly that I would! Hope this is over for you soon.

I am so sorry you have to go thru all this pain and I hope that soon, very soon that nasty ole stone will pass!
You are a fellow Michiganer....I am in Port Huron. I have not yet gotten to your part of the state. Do you live on Mackinac Island? The bridge to Upper Michigan has stopped me cold. 5 miles over water? Not this girl!
    Feel Better Soon!

  20. You are a woman having the same mind concerning rocks. I love to feel them. I love to see their different shapes and how they look like something else sometimes. I have passed this love onto my Grandson Alex and hope he is able to pass it on when he gets older. I think your post is wonderful!

  21. I love rocks! The last time we moved I had all my rocks loaded into the van. I wasn't about to leave them behind again!

  22. I am crying, and laughing... but crying for you. At least you have you humor.
    Hang in there!

  23. Yikes! That sounds really painful. Hope you are better soon.

  24. Oh my sure sounds painful, hopefully this will pass soon. Love your blog you are very talented.
