WHY IN THE WORLD DIDN'T WE THINK OF THIS YEARS AGO.....HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT THAT?....

Eons ago, Mr Wonderful made this fireplace for our basement...two houses ago. We painted it black and white check with a black mantle and little country tin animals attached below the mantle... Now pretty cute for the country decor, but since the big cottage redo...not so good.
We thought about selling it in one of the sales we had....Made me sad because "You know who made it" ...Then the lightbulb went off!!!! PAINT IT GIRL!!!!!... Three coats later of my favorite antique white paint...Hello!!!! I am diggin this little fireplace...
oops....Yes, that would be me.... Put textured wallpaper below the mantel for interest....I LIKE THAT!...
