Much prettier indeed! I do love a painted piece, and your decorations inside are lovely. I often wonder if we will get all our furniture painted someday and then the wood look will come back in a big way, lol. Gee, I hope not, but I will still love my paint!
your fallerizing term is getting rave reviews on my blog this week!!! good thinking friend!! lol
that hutch is fantastic! I love how it turned out...AND...it is VERY similar to the one I re-vamped a few years back. I found mine in the alley and took it home on the kid's wagon....we were out for a family walk and the kids WERE riding until I saw that baby!!! It had no doors or anything...just the frame....your cabinet makes me look at mine and say...hey! I could put two drawers in there...or one drawer....oh my word...why did I visit here? I have to go to hockey for three hours right quick and now I do not want to go anywhere!!!! lol Now that I have written you a bunch of nonsense....I best say what I started to say when I took the first look -it looks sensational friend...good work!
I have spent this entire day, out looking for a pretty hutch. I have to have a fairly small one and haven't found one yet...I do love painted furniture and I haven't gone white as yet. Most of mine is black.. I think you will just love your white hutch... xo bj
How on earth can there be only 3 comments on this beautiful post? I am absolutely crazy about your blog and everything in it:-) Can't wait to explore further. By the way, I am also from MI and spent many summers "up north":-)
Oh Kathy, your hutch turned out wonderful. I can't believe the difference a coat of paint makes. Love the knobs you chose too. Everything looks so romatic!

The paint really updated your hutch. I have a similar one that has been passed around in my family and ended up at my house. It doesn't really match anyhting I have - but a little paint could really make it fit in. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hi Kathy, I'm new to your blog by way of The Shabby Tiara. I see that you live in GOD'S Country....Up North, Michigan. Someday I will call Michigan home once again :) I LOVE what you did with the hutch...gives me courage to buy a dresser from Craigslist & paint it white! Leslie
That turned out so pretty! I'm ready to paint some furniture at Opulent Cottage too, so thank you for the inspiration. You have such a lovely blog! I found you through Lidy's blog, and this is a real treat. Can't wait to see what you do next! Cheers, Andrea

Gorgeous hutch! I remember glass doorknobs from my grandmother's house. Isn't wonderful to be able to bring back that elegant look?
