Noticed the postage stamp was 5cents in the lovely lady photo! She could afford to be so serene! Just kidding...........but life was a lot simpler then, No? I know it's what we make it! We can still exult in the season! Blessings to you and yours this Holiday Season my friend! Cathy G
So much fun to read where your all at preparation and weather wise!!! Love blogging and sharing this Merriest of Seasons with my blog friends... Dolly...not sure what that picture is painted on. Picked it up at a craft show this fall. A sweet lady said her mom painted it. Sending you all my blessings for the best weekend, xoxo~Kathy.
thanks so much for the sweet comment on my blog! as you saw i am definitely taking it slow! tomorrow i will make to-do lists but i do want to enjoy it all ... the wrapping, cooking, baking, preparing ... oh, and the shoveling! :)
Love this post and yep I am ready. I was just thinking this morning as I sat with my feet up on the coffee table and watching the news with Bobby G., that it was probably the first time in a long time I sat with nothing pressing to do (sort of). I finished my last minute shopping last Thursday and with the snow storm that hit us I am just baking and enjoying the season. Going outside in a little while to make a snowman. LOL
I'm catching up on all your Christmas posts ~ they are lovely!
Yesterday was my last event {annual cookie exchange} so I'm spending my week picking up a few last minute items, wrapping, enjoying my family and most all ~ awaiting the arrival of my brother and his family! We are thrilled that they are willing to travel from Okemos to join us for a Connecticut Christmas!
Kathy, I think your house must be amazing. I love your posts! We're not traveling this year, but we're still keeping it simple. All our family are in the US, so we have to send boxes off early and after that we do things here with friends and neighbors. Mostly we have a few decorations and dinners with friends.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me...I am always encouraged by your kind expressions and thoughtful comments....Know that you are loved....xoxo Kathy.
Perfect post. I think I have finally pulled it together. If not, well...there is always next Christmas!
