ReplyDeleteOh Kathy, I am so sorry to read this sad news about your dear friend. It is so shocking to lose someone so suddenly and I think especially difficult at this time of year. My heart goes out to you and also to your friend's family. I think a good cry or two is very helpful in the grieving process. Embracing your good memories together and perhaps even lighting a candle in her honor may be helpful too.
ReplyDeleteI am sending a gentle and heartfelt hug your way.
So sorry for your loss, Kathy. How heartbreaking.....we'll keep you and her family in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteHugs....xoxo Betsy
Dear Kathy -
ReplyDeleteYes, you must let your heart cry and bear the loss of a dear friend. I'm so sorry! But you have the comfort that you WILL see her again - soon. Shortly after my father died someone told my dear little mother that they were sorry she had 'lost' my father. She smiled confidently and said, 'Oh, I didn't lose him - I know right where he is - and I'll be with him again soon. Take comfort and know that I am praying for you and for her dear family whose heart hurts beyond belief. Come back when you're ready.

ReplyDeleteOh Kathy, I'm so very sorry for your loss! Well, here's what I do when faced with loss. Plan a little garden for her, maybe even in a container, for springtime. Plant herbs and flowers with meaning, such as rosemary for remembrance. And visit her there with your memories. I know it is too soon for that now. But later, after you've had some time, it will give you something to focus on.

ReplyDeleteWords are so insufficient at a time like this...but a Bible verse that has brought us so much comfort is First Peter 5:7..."Casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you"...and I know He does...
ReplyDeleteGod Bless...Betty
Take the time to heal, and find comfort in your precious memories.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. Lossing a friend creates a hole in your heart that is hard to fill. I am certain she is dancing in heaven.
ReplyDeleteThis same thing happened to our local pharmacist this past summer as he was on his way to pick up his son. It is a very hard loss to take and understand, and we wonder sometimes why such things happen. I hope that you and her family will take comfort in all the thoughts and prayers that are out there for all of you.
ReplyDeleteUlrike
I'm getting goose bumps reading that. I'm so sorry for your loss!
