So much to do and so little time!!! I finished this little roll pillow yesterday...She was fun to make... The rose center I downloaded from my computer and printed it onto transfer fabric... It's like a course muslin. I was a little anxious about how that would work but It went quite smoothly. Then I added all the other fabrics, lace and ribbons...
Kathy, you are one talented lady! I love the pillow, and it looks so pretty in the wicker rocking chair.
ReplyDeleteI peeked at your daughter's website. Her photography is beautiful. I don't know if I'll ever be brave enough to take "people" photos, but she does a fabulous job. :)
Have a great 4th of July weekend!
Lisa
The pillow is stunning. I love the stripes with the flowers, and the ribbons and lace are such a beautiful finishing touch. I didn't know there was transfer fabric. It's gorgeous. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeletegirl...that is so pretty!!! hope you have a fabulous weekend!
ReplyDeleteKathy, this is such a sweet pillow!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, is the rose design on the center fabric actually a photo that you transferred to fabric? It is so pretty.
What a beautiful pillow you created! Great idea to print from the computer, I've never thought about that before!

Hi Marsha... Yes, to your question about the center rose print on the pillow.I found the print on the computer and fell in love with it. Then I downloaded it into "My Pictures". Then I printed it from my computer onto a special fabric that goes through your printer. (I believe I purchased it at Michaels...)It's made spacifically for traveling through your printer without getting jammed. It worked Pretty well!!! Just have to make sure you only put one sheet at a time in your printer. Hope that was helpful, xox~Kathy
ReplyDeleteKathy, Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving your sweet comment. Of course I had to check yours out right away.....so darling!! Love your pretty pillow. I've wanted to try the fabric printing and now that you proved it works, I am inspired to go for it. Have a great 4th of July and hope you stop by my blog again soon.

It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed looking over your creativity on your blog. The pillows are fabulous! I especially love the one with embroidered birds, as I made something like this decades ago to cover our pet parakeet's cage at night. It brought back a lot of great memories for me!
I'm so glad you liked my first silver project, and I appreciate the encouragement! I really like your necklace pictured in the sidebar, very creative and fun! I hope to learn some lampwork, too. I'll visit again!
