I made the plaster embellishments...leaves, acorns, tiny flowers...and attached them with cement glue. Painted the same color as the mantel , most people ask if it is all one piece... carved. From a distance it does look carved.
I have an attraction to stars...If you haven't noticed already! They are all through the house. This one was an "Art Fair" find...
These metal stars are from a cute shop in Bay City called "Three French Hens"...

Are you sure you didn't miss your calling? You're a decorator if ever I've seen one! I love the colors on your walls. The things placed so perfectly in your rooms, your adornments. I just feel happy in your house! I always wanted to learn basket weaving.
